Challenge

To provide a compact, yet durable floor standing dispensing display for Monster Cable bulk speaker cables. To support the weight of multiple spools of heavy speaker cable. To replace an older "Bulky" unit that had severe capacity limitations as well as other undesirable design characteristics. To provide modular and flexible display options for various mixes of product. To provide strong branding for both Monster Cable and their retailers. To be easily packed in affordable shipping containers.

Monster Cable Bulky Display

Initial response to the roll out of these displays from Monster Cable was tremendous. The sales staff was excited about placing this new and improved display front and center to sell more Monster Cable product. Circuit City committed to placing the display in all of their stores. Other retailers used them in their merchandising efforts as well. The new "Bulky" display delivers high density dispensing in a very small footprint. It was designed to support heavy loads in demanding retail environments, and to provide maximum product flexibility. It is robust enough to last several years, and features changeable graphics that will keep the display fresh through the seasons.





Challenge

Monster Cable needed to promote the features and benefits of their power booster for high end car audio systems. Since the booster would be invisible when installed, it was critical not only to provide a view of the product, but also to educate the customer about how well the unit performed. The display needed to accommodate a power source for stores that would demonstrate the unit "live." The display needed to be easily updated, incorporating interchangeable graphics. With an anticipated life span of 2 years, the display needed to be sturdy and durable. The dimensions of the display were largely determined by the requirements of one of Monster's "big box" retail customers.

Monster Cable Digicap

The displays rolled out nationwide and they have been well received by Monster's audio retailers, from small mom and pops to the large retailers whose needs drove the design. The displays are further evidence of Monster's commitment to the high end car audio market.

Challenge

Create a POP fixture to increase Monster Cable's sell-through of their line of cellular phone chargers. The new display must fit atop the pre-existing Monster Cable "Tommy Tower" display, which is used to merchandise many of their clamshell packaged products. The display must feature 3 different types of chargers and provide ample space for product information, as well as prominent Monster Cable branding. Security is also a necessary element to the display, to prevent theft of the chargers. The displays must be cost effective for Monster Cable to place these units in hundreds of retail outlets.

Monster Cable Mobile Playground

We provided Monster Cable with a flexible design that would not only fit their pre-existing Tommy Tower, but work as a countertop display as well. By bringing the product out of its packaging and allowing for customer interaction, Monster Cable dramatically increased the sell-through of their line of cellular phone chargers. Placing this POP display where product is dispensed (Tommy Towers) is key in communicating and drawing attention to Monster Cable's products.

With thousands of SKU's in their product line, Monster Cable needed a POP system that they could use universally for a wide range of cable products.

Monster Cable Playground

We presented Monster Cable with a totally modular display system made up of individual cable brackets and an adaptable base unit featuring our patent pending "Universal Wall Bracket." This modular "building block" solution easily adapts to their ever-changing product line-up and retail needs. This display system takes up just enough space to "get the job done" without consuming too much valuable real estate. The display was dimensioned to efficiently fit on standard slatwall and gridwall. Demand was high for these "silent salesmen" that "speak loudly" while taking up little retail space.

Challenge

In almost any consumer electronics retail store, there is space that can be reclaimed for additional merchandising and selling opportunities. For example, the space between television sets is often void and is a perfect location to merchandize add-on items such as Monster Cable products. Concept Designs conceived a dispensing fixture that can fill this "thin and tall" space. The "Slim Jim" was designed to accommodate Monster's cable packaging and allow for the display of 2 - 3 product facings. The "Slim Jim" fits perfectly between 2 big screen TVs.

Monster Cable Slim Jim

The "Slim Jim" and companion displays, "Minnette" and "Maxette", take advantage of otherwise wasted space and place high margin accessory items in immediate visual contact with the consumer. These simple but effective displays bolstered sales of Monster Cable products without requiring any sacrifice of valuable retail floor space. A win-win for both the retailer and Monster Cable.
